Overview
What gh0stcloud is, who it is for, and how the operating model works.
gh0stcloud is a managed Kubernetes platform operated in Germany — built for teams that want to ship fast without managing infrastructure, and without compromising on security or cost visibility.
Who it's built for
- Product teams deploying containerized workloads via Git-based delivery
- Organisations that require clear tenant boundaries, data residency in Germany, and auditable operations
- Engineering leaders who want a reliable platform foundation without staffing a full platform department
How it works
Everything runs through Git. A commit to your repository is the only way to change state in the cluster — no click-ops, no direct cluster access for tenants. gh0stcloud reconciles your desired state automatically on every push.
The portal gives you visibility: runtime status, cost attribution, logs, and metrics. What happens in the cluster is the result of what lives in your repository.
Shared responsibility
| Domain | Your team | gh0stcloud |
|---|---|---|
| Application delivery | Code, manifests, release cadence | Runtime platform, reconciliation, policy baseline |
| Identity and access | Team membership and approval workflows | Identity system and tenant-scoped authorisation |
| Runtime operations | Application-level SLOs and troubleshooting | Cluster lifecycle, control plane, shared reliability |
| Security | Application code and secure secret usage | Policy enforcement, secrets authority, audit surfaces |
| Cost governance | Internal budget ownership | Metering, attribution, invoice-ready reporting |
Service tiers
| Tier | Typical use | Capacity | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Small teams and early production workloads | Shared capacity pools | Standard |
| Enterprise | Business-critical workloads with stronger isolation needs | Dedicated capacity | Contract-defined |
Is it the right fit?
| Strong fit | Probably not the right fit |
|---|---|
| Managed Kubernetes with clear governance | You need unrestricted cluster-admin control by default |
| German data residency and EU compliance | You need fully unmanaged infrastructure |
| Transparent cost attribution and predictable operations | Highly customised platform behaviour outside standard contracts |
