Responsibilities
Who answers for what
Handing over operations does not mean handing over control.
| Who answers for what | Yours | Ours |
|---|---|---|
| Application | You decide what it has to do. | We keep it current, reachable and recoverable. |
| Data | Your data, in open formats, exportable at any time. | Separated environments, documented access, recovery that has been tested. |
| Access | You decide who gets in. | We set up sign-in and enforce the roles. |
| Changes | You tell us what is needed. | We agree the effort before it is spent. |
| Incidents | You write to a person. | That person writes back, within the agreed time. |
Scope
What we take on
The binding scope is in your service description. This is the usual shape of it.
Setup and migration
Standing the application up, bringing existing data across, signing it off together.
Updates and security patches
Applied in agreed windows, with a way back if something does not fit.
Backups with tested recovery
A backup that has never been restored is a guess. We check ours on a schedule.
Monitoring
Availability and resources are watched, so problems do not surface at your desk first.
Users and permissions
Sign-in, roles and access are maintained rather than left to accumulate.
One point of contact
A person with a name, instead of a chain of hand-offs.
How it starts
Four steps, no surprises
A conversation
Twenty to thirty minutes about what runs today and what is wrong with it.
An honest read
A clear answer on whether we fit, including the cases where we do not.
A proposal
Service description, schedule and cost, before anything is migrated.
Handover and operations
Migration with joint sign-off, then ongoing operations at the agreed scope.
Talk to me directly.
I have these conversations myself. Afterwards you will know whether it fits, including when the answer is no.
Base fee and infrastructure cost are shown separately. Additional work is agreed before it is done.
